William F. Hellyer, 79, excavating bus. owner

William F. Hellyer, 79, formerly of Denver, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Denver Health & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Hatboro to the late Edwin and Anna Reichenbach Hellyer and was the husband of the late Esther Grace (Gruver) Hellyer, who died in May 2012.

William was a member of the Vinemont U.M. Church. He had a trash excavating business, named Hellyer Excavating and Trash Removal, worked as a custodian for Weaver Markets and most recently at Wal-Mart, Ephrata. William enjoyed bowling and playing cards.

William is survived by his three daughters: Cheryl, wife of Mark Gantz of Denver; Debra, wife of Billy Thompson of Newmanstown; Wanda, wife of Todd McGlaughlin of Newmanstown; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother: Edwin "Butch" Hellyer, Jr. of New Jersey; three sisters: Betty Brunner of Florida; Sarah DiFillippo of New Jersey; and Mary Bonnell of Texas.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughters: Kathy Simmerman and Cindy Moore; and a sister: Myrtle Swartz.

A memorial service was held June 8 at the Vinemont Community Lutheran Church, Reinholds, with Pastor James DeLong officiating. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.
