Paul H. Hursh, 79, of Lititz, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in New Holland to the late Curvin and Anna (Martin) Hursh and was the husband of Barbara (Sensenig) Hursh with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.
Paul was a member of Valley View Mennonite Church, Stevens, where he served as a deacon for 39 years. Paul was a farmer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven sons: Clair, husband of Carolyn (Sensenig) Hursh of Martinsburg; Earl Ray, husband of the late Rachel (Burkholder) Hursh of Middleburg; James, husband of Cynthia (Boll) Hursh of Lebanon; Jay Paul, husband of Jeanette (Zimmerman) Hursh of Lititz; Leon, husband of Diane (Martin) Hursh of Ephrata; Jesse, husband of Marlene (Martin) Hursh of Morrisville, Vt.; Philip, husband of Mary Kay (Burkholder) Hursh of Lititz; a daughter: Carolyn, wife of James K. Siegrist of Martinsburg; 62 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Curvin, husband of Joann (Yoder) Hursh of Horn Lake, Miss.; Amos, husband of Laura (Eberly) Hursh of Ephrata; three sisters: Mary, wife of the late Ervin Rutt of Manheim; Helen, wife of Elvin Hurst of Newmanstown; Kathryn, wife of Clarence Nolt of Myerstown; and a brother-in-law: Elam Hoover.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Ann, wife of the late Isaac Ray Sensenig; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; and a sister: Vera Hoover.
Funeral services were held June 11 at the Valley View Mennonite Church with Bishop Harold Good officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
