Ricky R. Lorah, 56, of Stevens, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, at York Hospital Wellspan.
He was born in Ephrata to Elizabeth (Pope), wife of William Smith and the late Melvin Lorah. Ricky was the husband of Donna (Weik) Lorah, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.
Ricky was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the York Model Car Club, the Reamstown AA Club and the Germania Band Club. Ricky was awarded as a winning model car builder. He was an avid artist and big fan of the NHRA. Ricky worked as a heavy machine operator for A.G. Kurtz and Sons, Denver.
In addition to his wife, mother and stepfather, Ricky is survived by a son: Ricky Lorah Jr., companion of Kathleen Burkhart of Stevens; a daughter: Tina Lorah, companion of Larry Harner Jr. of Adamstown; two grandsons: Kyle and Nathaniel Good; and three brothers: David, husband of Terri Lorah of Manheim; Anthony Lorah, companion of Linda Powers of New Holland; and Jeffrey Martin, companion of Roxanne Linkey of Lititz.
A viewing was held March 27 at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver, followed by funeral services. Interment took place in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown.
