Lucille H. Fitzkee, 83, avid bridge player, homemaker

Lucille Hoffman Fitzkee, 83, of Littleton, Colo. passed away Thursday, July 18 in Denver, Colo.

Lucille was the wife of Leon Fitzkee and was born in Ephrata on Jan. 15, 1930. She was a graduate of Ephrata High School and of the Pennsylvania State University. She was the daughter of the late Harry Hoffman, Sr, and Mabel Hoffman of Ephrata. She and her husband, 'Fitz,' moved to Colorado soon after they married and lived there for the rest of her life.

Lucille enjoyed playing bridge and was an accomplished duplicate bridge player. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and often worked with her husband in their kitchen to prepare meals for friends. Lou, as she was called, was a cat lover and either had cats of her own or fed and took care of neighborhood cats that found their way to her backyard.

She is survived by her husband: Leon, of Denver, Colo. and her brother: Dr. Harry Hoffman of Lititz. She is also survived by her nephew, Robert Crone of Lakeport, Calif.; and by her nieces: Jessica Hoffman Long, Rebecca Hoffman Hehnly and Melissa Hoffman, all of Lancaster, and several grand nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Arlene Crone and Kathryn Snader.

Lucille was interred in the Fort Logan Veterans' Cemetery in Denver, Colo. A memorial service was held in Denver on July 30.
