Warren Lausch, Jr., 76, Navy electrician, former Honeybrook police chief

Warren E. Lausch, Jr., 76, of Ephrata, was called home to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy.

Born in Berks County, he was the son of the late Warren E. Lausch, Sr., husband of the late Miriam (Adams) Lausch and the late Stella (Boone) Becker.

He was a long-time resident of Goodville and currently resided in Ephrata with his wife of 57 years, Dolores (Fryberger) Lausch. He is also survived by three children: two daughters: Dolores Robin, wife of Daniel Risser, Stevens; Michele Ann, wife of Michael Kunkle, Ephrata; and son: Thomas Eugene, Baxter Springs, Kan.; six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Salem as an electrician. A long-time employee of Grace Mines and Bethlehem Steel, he also served as police chief of Honey Brook Township. He retired from Lancaster County Prison as an electrician.

Warren was a 320 Mason and Life Member of the Howell Lodge #405 F&AM Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the East Cocalico Church of the Brethren.

He was well-loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed.

A graveside service was held at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata, Nov. 19 followed by a light fellowship mealtime of remembrance at East Cocalico Church of the Brethren.
