Craig Charles Hagemeyer, 63, of Ephrata, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Hershey Medical Center.
He was born in Columbia County to the late Charles Wesley Hagemeyer and Marqueen (Robbins) Henrie and was the husband of Eva (Gordner) Hagemeyer with whom he shared 42 years of marriage.
Craig was a dedicated employee of Worley Parsons for 35 years. He was the lead mechanical layout designer on numerous very successful fossil fuel power plant design projects. His expertise was broad and included the development of sophisticated 3-D models to on-site field support. Craig always had a love of cars but after his hole-in-one his first time out, he pursued golf. His most recent love was his beach house in Ocean City, Md., where he could spend time with family and friends and spend time surf fishing or boating. His first true love was his family, which he worked so hard to support and protect. He always knew the right thing to do or say. He had many talents which he shared with many people.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Greg, husband of Dana (Serafini) Hagemeyer of Lancaster; Alex Hagemeyer of Ephrata; a grandson: Jamison Hagemeyer; a sister: Vicki Kleckner of Reading; three step brothers: Guy, husband of Ginny Henrie III of Bloomsburg; Scott Henrie of Bloomsburg; and Timothy Henrie of Bloomsburg.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step father: Guy Henrie II.
A viewing was held April 1 at the Stradling Funeral Home, Ephrata, followed by his funeral service with Rev. Richard Cook officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
