Ali M. Fausnaught, 19, of Brownstown, passed away unexpectedly in Philadelphia Wednesday, April 17, 2013.

She was born in Lancaster Sept. 16, 1993 and was the loving daughter of Donald I. D.M.D. and Tara (Ruoff) Fausnaught and amazing sister to Zachary Fausnaught. She was truly the spirit of the family.

Ali graduated from Conestoga Valley High School in 2012, was a star on the Conestoga Valley tennis team, an officer for the Future Business Leaders Association (FBLA), a member of the Interact Club, a CV Scholar Athlete and a member of the Homecoming Court.

She attended The University of South Carolina and was on the Dean's List. She was a current student at West Chester University. At West Chester, Ali was an aspiring speech pathologist and a psychology major.

She grew up attending Zion Lutheran Church of Leola and was a volunteer at Corner of Hope, the church's clothing bank in Leola.

Ali was so full of life. She was social and vibrant, and known for her contagious laugh. She loved hanging with her family and friends, shopping, visiting the beach, baking, eating ice cream, and was known as a "foodie." Her smile will be unforgettable.

Ali's favorite Bible verse was Joshua 1:9, "Be strong and courageous, do not be terrified, do not be discouraged; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." -- XOXO.

Surviving in addition to her parents and brother, are loving maternal grandparents: Maria, wife of David Ruoff of Wyomissing; paternal grandmother: Mildred Fausnaught of Danville; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and her boyfriend. Ali was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather: Harry Fausnaught and a cousin: Emma Rae.

Ali's celebration of life service will be held May 4 at 10 a.m. at the Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601 with The Rev. Newell Embley III officiating. A private interment will be in Trumbauer Memorial Cemetery in Leola.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ali's memory to the Corner of Hope, 18 Quarry Rd., Leola, PA 17540 or the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17603.
