Glenn D. Trostle, 89, formerly of Denver and Ephrata, died Friday, July 19, 2013, at Luther Acres in Lititz, where he resided since 2000. Born in Denver, a son of the late Elmer W. and Alma B. (Mellinger) Trostle, he was the husband of Edna F. (Leed) Trostle for 67 years.
A 1941 Denver High School graduate, Glenn served in the Army Air Force as a sergeant during World War II. He worked for F&M Hat Factory in Denver, and Victor F. Weaver in New Holland. He was a member of Reamstown Church of God and was an accomplished baseball player in his day. Glenn was also an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his son, Randy L. Trostle of Elizabethtown.
A memorial celebration of his life was held July 24 at Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre in Reamstown with his pastor, The Rev. Arthur T. Karick, officiating. Interment with military honors followed in Fairview Cemetery, Denver.
