Leroy G. Weber, 69, of Reinholds, entered into his eternal reward Saturday, May 11, 2013, as a result of natural causes.
He was born on Aug. 12, 1943 to the late Amos S. Weber and Anna Mary (Good) Weber. He is survived by his wife: Mary (Zimmerman) Weber of 49 years and 10 months; sons: David Lee Weber, husband of Cindy (Martin) Weber, Robesonia; and Dalton L. Weber, husband of Lisa (Schnupp) Weber, Bradford; daughters: Delphine L. (Weber), wife of David Burkholder, Reinholds; Darlene L. (Weber), wife of Gregg Wentzel, Denver; D. Kelly (Weber), wife of Melvin Miller, Catlett, Va.; 16 grandchildren; a sister: Dorothy White, wife of Carl, Lancaster; brothers: Lester Weber, husband of Ruth, Atmore, AL and Amos Weber, husband of Mary, Sarasota, Fla.
Leroy was a member of the Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church where he was very involved in the mission and activities of the church. After retiring from driving truck at age 62, he then began driving bus for Ideal Coach of Martindale. He was well known for his passion for "driving" specifically "the bus" in fact his last bus drive was completed on Thursday, May 9, 2013.
When he had no driving responsibilities, you could find him in his wood-working shop building, repairing and refinishing all types of wood projects for others. He was a generous man, always wanting to help people in any way he could.
A viewing will be held May 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church, 140 Pleasant Valley Road, Ephrata. An additional viewing will be held at the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church, Thursday, 9 to 10 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. with officiating ministry Larry Garman, Larry Weaver, Cleason Sensenig and Vernon Fox. Interment will take place in the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church Cemetery.
