Donna Lynn Philpot, 47, originally from Lititz, passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013 at her home in Rimersburg.
She was born in Philadelphia on Feb. 19, 1966, the daughter of Ronald and Regina (Hagenkotter) Roth.
Donna spent her youth in the Lancaster area and graduated from Garden Spot High School in New Holland in 1984. She married Wayne A. Philpot July 18,1992, and they lived in the Lancaster area for 20 years until moving to Rimersburg area two years ago. Donna worked as an electrician for Skyline Homes in Lancaster for 11 years and most recently worked as a CNA at Clarview Nursing Home in Sligo. In Lancaster, she was a member of AMVETS.
Riding motorcycles and snowmobiles were two of her favorite pastimes and she especially loved her Harley. She also enjoyed crocheting and made scarves for other patients at the Richard Laube Cancer Center in Kittanning. Donna will be remembered for her tenacity, but also for being very kind. Her family and friends will greatly miss her tough and strong-willed spirit.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband: Wayne a. Philpot, of Rimersburg; daughters: Shaina Krick, of Lititz and Tanya Philpot, of Rimersburg; mother: Regina Roth and husband: William Bahn of Denver; sister: Cheryl Lees and husband Eric of Reamstown; and brother: Kevin Roth and wife Jessica of Strasburg.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, who passed away when she was 23 years old.
